Research in and around the Wilds

We made a trip to the Wilds to visit the field site where Karla Moreno Torres, a graduate student in Preventative Veterinary Medicine, is conducting research in and around the Wilds to understand the transmission of infectious diseases between exotic wildlife, domestic wildlife, and livestock. Karla focuses on Neospora caninum, a protozoan parasite, which is known to cause abortion in cattle potentially causing substantial economic losses for farmers and the Wilds.
