Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I have been offered a courtesy appointment in the Department of Linguistics at the Ohio State University. I am teaching several courses on Research Design and Ethnographic Methods (4650H, 5650, 8891.05) that are useful for students in linguistics. In these courses, I use collaborative course projects, which are a great way for students to learn how to design a study, collect and analyze data, and write up and present ethnographic research. I also serve on a number of committees of graduate students in linguistics.
